Managing Properties

Properties are job sites — first-class records you can create even before you have a customer on file.

Create a property

1. In the sidebar, open Properties.
2. Click Create Property.
3. Start typing the street address and pick a verified suggestion. QuoteBolt fills city, state, ZIP, and map location from that choice.
4. Optional: add Address Line 2 for a unit or suite.
5. Optional: link a Contact and/or Company — both can stay empty at create.
6. Choose Property Type: Residential, Multi-Family, or Commercial.
7. Optional: Square Footage, Year Built, Access Instructions, and Notes.
8. Click Create Property to save.

Open a property later to edit details and see related contacts, companies, jobs, quotes, and invoices.

Good to know

• You must pick an address from autocomplete — do not invent a freehand street that never resolves.
• One building can have many property records (for example each suite as its own property with the same place and a different Address Line 2).
• Contact and Company are optional — a property can exist before the customer does.
