Importing Data from CSV Files

Import contacts, properties, quotes, or invoices from CSV or Excel under Settings → Import with the Upload → Map → Preview → Done wizard.

Bring contacts, properties, quotes, or invoices into QuoteBolt from a CSV or Excel file under Settings → Import.

Start an import

  1. Go to Settings → Import (Import history).
  2. Click Import data.
  3. Choose what to import: Contacts, Properties, Quotes, or Invoices.
  4. On Upload, drag a .csv, .xlsx, or .xls file, or browse to upload. QuoteBolt parses the file and shows the row count.
  5. Click Continue to mapping.
  6. On Map, match your columns to QuoteBolt fields (common headers auto-match). Required fields are marked.
  7. On Preview, fix any rows marked Error (or download an error CSV when there are many), then click Import N rows.
  8. On Done, review Imported / Updated / Skipped counts. Use View import details or open the matching list in the app to spot-check records.

Good to know

  • Import contacts before properties, quotes, and invoices when you want rows linked by email or address.
  • You can run the wizard more than once — each file is a separate import on Import history.
  • Past imports stay on Settings → Import; start again anytime with Import data.
