Convert a Quote to an Invoice
Convert an accepted quote into a draft invoice. Line items and customer details carry over in one click.

Turn an accepted quote into a draft invoice. QuoteBolt copies the customer, property, line items, tax, discount, and notes so you do not retype them.
Convert from the quote
- Open the quote. Status must be Accepted.
- Click Convert to Invoice.
- If the quote has no property, add one in the Add a Property dialog, then confirm Convert to Invoice.
- QuoteBolt opens the new invoice. It starts as a Draft.
Convert from Create Invoice
- Go to Invoices and click Create Invoice.
- Under accepted quotes ready to convert, click Convert on the quote you want.
What carries over
- Title, description, line items, tax, discount, totals, and notes
- Customer name, email, phone, and address
- Property and job link when the quote had them
The invoice is a separate document. Editing it does not change the quote. If that quote already has an invoice, QuoteBolt opens the existing one instead of making a duplicate.
What happens next
- Send the invoice
- Understand invoice statuses
- Connect Stripe if customers will pay online
Good to know
- When a customer accepts a quote on the public quote page, QuoteBolt can create the invoice automatically.
- Online pay is not created at convert. Customers use Pay Now on the public invoice after you send it (Stripe Connect must be ready).
