How Customers View and Pay Invoices
What customers see on the public invoice page, when Pay Now appears, and how Pending, Paid, Overdue, and Void show up for them.

When you send an invoice, your customer opens a public page to review the work and pay — online if Stripe is connected, or by arranging payment with you.
What the customer sees
- They open the link from your send (public path under
/i/). - The page shows your business name (and logo if set), invoice number, title, total, billed-to details, line items, totals, and any notes.
- If payment is still owed, they may see Payment due by the due date, with (Overdue) when status is overdue.
Opening the link marks the invoice Viewed on your side the first time.
Paying online
- When Stripe Connect is active and the invoice is still open (Sent, Viewed, or Overdue), they see Pay Now with the balance due.
- That starts a Stripe Checkout session. QuoteBolt never collects card details itself.
- After success they return to the invoice page showing Invoice paid and Thank you for your payment! (or Payment received while status catches up).
If online pay is not set up, the page tells them to contact your business to arrange payment — there is no Pay Now button.
Status badges on their page
- Pending — shown while the invoice is sent or viewed (your list still shows Sent or Viewed)
- Paid — payment received
- Overdue — past the due date
- Void — you voided it; the page says This invoice has been voided. and checkout is off
