Using Bolt

Open Bolt on Home or as a companion panel. Type or talk, review cards, save views and notes only when you tap Save view or Add note.

Bolt is the assistant inside QuoteBolt. Type or talk to draft quotes and work records, then review before anything is saved. You can still build and send quotes the usual way — typed quote to pay stays the core close.

Open Bolt

  1. Go to Home in the app when Bolt is available on your account. Home is the full-page Bolt conversation.
  2. Or open the Bolt companion beside any page and keep working while you chat.
  3. On a quote, invoice, job, or similar record, use Ask Bolt to attach that record to the next message.

Type or talk

  • Type in the composer. Placeholders say Ask Bolt anything. or How can Bolt help you today? on the larger Home composer.
  • With an empty composer, the amber action is Talk to Bolt — starts a live voice call. During a call you can Mute / Unmute and Stop talking to return to text in the same conversation.
  • Use Dictate to put speech into the composer as text you can edit before sending. Use Stop dictating when you are done.

Review before it saves

When Bolt is about to create or change something, it shows a review card with the details. Confirm or Cancel. Nothing is written until you approve.

Bolt can also show work you still choose to keep:

  • A list card marked Unsaved view — click Save view, name it if needed, then open it on the list page with Open view. Use Open in plus the object name to jump to the full list.
  • A note draft marked Draft — click Add note to attach it to the record. After it saves, the badge shows Added.

What Bolt is for

Plain-language help with day-to-day work, for example:

  • Drafting a quote from a job description
  • Looking up or creating contacts and properties
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Showing a filtered list of records as a view you can save
  • Drafting a note on a record
  • Working from the record you attached with Ask Bolt

What happens next

  1. Saving list views
  2. Send your first quote
  3. Convert a quote to an invoice

Good to know

  • Voice and typing share one conversation. Starting a call does not start a separate chat.
  • If Bolt is not available on the account, Home redirects to Reporting instead of the conversation page.
  • Showing a view or drafting a note does not save anything until you tap Save view or Add note.
